Santa Baby (short Story) By Alex Alex
We have two girls and one boy and they all had given us memorable pregnancy moments. The youngest which is the son, was the most laborious and outlandish experience we ever had.
On my wifes first month of pregnancy, she was bugging me for eggnog every day. Breakfast, lunch and dinner, eggnog always accompanies the meal. The recycle bin was so full of eggnog boxes. How I wished there were some promo attached for a vacation in each of the box. For sure, we would win for the month.
I was relieved when in May she didnt ask for eggnog instead she wanted gingerbread cookies. For goodness sake, where could I find gingerbread cookies? I had no choice but to make it on my own. Ive never baked but at that time I was obliged to do it or else I would not have a son. Every night, I would bake about twenty gingerbread cookies and that lasted for a month.
When June came, I finally retired with my gingerbread cookie making. This time, my beloved wife requested to have a Christmas tree inside the house. I rummaged through the basement to get the Christmas tree we had last year. Whenever we have guests in the house, they give us odd looks for the Christmas tree standing right in the middle of our living room.
By July, it got worse, she begged me to decorate the Christmas tree. Together with my two lovely daughters, we went about following orders from their mom as to how we would decorate the Christmas tree.
August was the month when Christmas was in the air. Twenty four hours, my beautiful wife would play Christmas songs and even in my car Christmas CDs were piled up on the dashboard.
Snowman was the man for September. Since there was still no snow around, I was forced to buy a snowman balloon to be put in front of our house.
I was astounded to find out a $2,000 bill on credit card on October. When I checked it, my wife had started her Christmas shopping in advance. Our house was filled with boxes upon boxes of gifts.
Ever got a reindeer as your pet? We did. As it turned out, my beloved demanded a reindeer so I rented Rudolph for the whole of November.
December. Finally, we came to the finale of this bizarre pregnancy. I became Santa Clause. Yes! My wife wished for Santa Clause to be there when she gives birth. Thus, I had to wear Santa Clause costume and be Santa Clause. Funny it seemed, but then at midnight of December 24, Santa came out. Im talking about our Santa, the youngest child of ours. Santa baby it is.

Chase Mountains

Socrates and Laxou agreed to visit a mountain in a place very far away. It is said that the scenery there is as beautiful as a picture. When people get there, they will have a stoned feeling.

Many years later, they met again. They all have found that the mountain was too far away. Even if they spent a lifetime, they cannot get to that fascinating place. Laxou was very depressed and said: “I have made every effort to run over, but I haven’t seen any picturesque scenery. It really made me sad!”

Socrates whisked away the dust on the robe and said: “There is much wonderful scenery on the way here. Haven’t you noticed?”

Laxou looked embarrassed and replied: “I simply run toward the distant goal. How could I have the mind to enjoy the scenery along the way?”

“That is a pity!” Socrates said, “When we seek a distant goal, we must not forget that everywhere on a journey there is beautiful scenery!”

Cherish the rights you have owned

A lion fell in love with a farmer's daughter, so it requested the farmer to let his his daughter marry it. The farmer could not bear to betroth his daughter to the beast, but he did not dare to refuse, so he came up with an idea. When the lion came to urge him, the farmer said to it: “I am willing to betroth my daughter to you, but I’m afraid of your canine claws. If you cut them, my daughter will marry you immediately.” The lion immediately agreed. It returned home to cut its fangs and claws. But in this way, the farmer was not afraid of the lion. When the lion came again, the farmer drove it away with a wooden stick.

Intention: to give up the power you’ve already owned is unwise.

New ideas: fish cannot leave the abyss, the state rewards and punishments of the weapon cannot be easily changed hands.

Description: A Harvard truth: do not easily give up one’s real power, or once losing it, it is too late to get again.
